Stornoway House Gallery is pleased to
present some of the world's finest glass ornaments.
A must for the serious collector, or as an elegant gift. Mouth
blown in a 3500-year-old village in Egypt that contains three of the
oldest churches in the world. The designs are inspired by bottles
discovered in the ancient tombs of Queen Nefertiti and Queen
Cleopatra of Egypt.
These ornaments are of the highest quality available anywhere in
the world. They are crafted entirely by hand, using German Pyrex;
one of the finest and strongest raw materials available. Its
superior durability allows the master glass blowers to deeply cut
elaborate floral designs, execute beautiful glass frills, apply
intricate 14 carat gold work, and superheat the glass for deep rich
colors. The use of German Pyrex is probably unique in the crafting
of glass ornaments.
Each style is mouth blown - not molded - by only one master glass
blower, using his memory, a straight rod of solid glass and simple
hand held tools. After the basic shape is blown, each piece then
goes to a team of artisans who are masters in gold work, stone cut
etching, and final coloring. All hand work. Each piece is oven-fired
at least twice and is completed over a period of two to three
weeks.
The limited production makes these glass ornaments collectibles
of unsurpassed quality and future
heirlooms.
